Welcome to the Holistic Young Planners Education Cycle, an inspiring program for young strategic planners with 1 to 4 years’ experience. The HYPE program was initiated in 2010 by ACC’s Expert Center Strategy, aka APG Belgium, to train young potentials in the art of strategic planning.
Now, 13 years later, young planners need a very diverse skillset to fullfil their role. That is why this unique program offers 8 sessions that will help them stay relevant in today’s agency landscape.
Given by top Strategic Directors from Belgian agencies and supported by real experts in their domain, this Cycle will help strategic planners grow and create more value for their role.

‘The Role of Planners'

‘Practice what you've been preached'

You will receive a strategic assignment during the 1st session and will be asked to put your learnings into practice, together with some other participants of the HYPE Cycle. During the 8th session, you will present your recommendation to a Jury, composed of the tutors of the previous 7 sessions. Only 1 team can take home the HYPE 23 Trophy!

Dennis Snijders is Service Line Director Strategy at iO. Over the years he’s worked for companies such Carrefour, Samsung, Alken Maes, Unilever, Q8, The National Lottery, and Amnesty International. Dennis often finds himself helping brands transform their marketing strategies to the new, interactive context of today.

Dominique Poncin
Dominique Poncin is Head of Strategy at FamousGrey. He helps brands such as Volvo, UNICEF, Proximus, Nieuwsblad make a mark in business and society. As a former Effie Jury member and (co-)writer of 10 Effie cases he has a keen interest in the communication science behind creativity to prove effectiveness.

Stef Selfslagh
Stef Selfslagh is a renowned and award-winning creative director, who has worked for reputable advertising agencies such as Duval Guillaume and Boondoggle and has recently joined LDV United. Some of the campaigns he contributed to were included in the book Game Changers - a reference work celebrating campaigns that revolutionised the marketing industry. Having led multidisciplinary brand teams, Stef feels at home where strategy meets creativity and analysis meets imagination. Since 2015 he has been writing interviews, long reads and columns for De Morgen.

Tijs Vrolix is an experienced strategist and service designer at iO. Having previously worked for a variety of agencies, consultancies and product companies, Tijs today combines those marketing and design perspectives in his CX-focused work.

Vincent D'Halluin
